Dear Dr Awolowo Dosumu,

Greetings from the IAI. I just wanted to drop you a quick note thanking you warmly for your attendance and speech at our jointly organised event at SOAS yesterday. In particular, I was highly appreciative of the attention you paid to Insa’s book in your discussions of Awolowo. You created quite a stir and helped bring an audience to the IAI/SOAS that we could not have reached without your support. And we even sold out of the books available at the event! So all round a success, I think.

I do hope we can stay in touch, and perhaps there will be opportunities for future collaborations – although it will be a while before there is another centenary!

I was also very interested to hear about the work of the Foundation, and wish you all the best with that.
